Robotic loading of laser marking system

The requirement

Flexible loading.
Supply a LASER marking system with differently shaped handles for wooden brushes and combs. The absence of mechanical intervention to change pieces was required.

The solution

A robotic arm guided by a vision system collects pieces fed in bulk by a vibrating hopper. Pieces are collected by the robot, irrespective of the side on which they are situated, and are turned if necessary on instruction from a second camera.
The system can handle the loading of virtually any flat object.
